Purpose of research: Applied research
This subproject investigates agro-chemical properties of soil after HTC-biochar has been added. In standardized laboratory and pot experiments the following aspects will be covered: sorption and release of plant nutrients N, P, K, S, Mg, Ca; water holding capacity and nutrient leaching in laboratory lysimeters; incubation experiments; nutrient availability in pot experiments with a variety of plant species; root growth with rhizo-box technique.
