Description
The Department of Biology, with currently 37 professors and 3 junior professorships is one of the largest biological departments in Germany. The Department is divided into the centre for wood industry and the two Biocentres Grindel and Flottbek which in turn are subdivided to various departments and work areas. The Department also maintains cooperation with numerous partner organizations.
