Description

In the Institute of Molecular Pathogenesis (IMP), the main topics of research and official tasks include infections caused by Mycobacteria spp. and Chlamydiaceae spp. The following National Reference Laboratories (NRLs) are located in the IMP: NRL tuberculosis, NRL paratuberculosis, NRL psittacosis, and NRL dourine. All NRLs fulfil official tasks including the surveillance and improvement of diagnostic methods for notifiable animal diseases and zoonoses at a national and international level.
