The project aims to check the role of scale insects (Homoptera: Coccina) in German vineyards as potential vectors of leafroll viruses. Leafroll disease might be an upcoming problem in this region. The investigations should built a base for a renewed risk assessment and if necessary for newly integrated control strategies towards the vector.
