Our vision is to generate a sustainable, environmentally friendly and efficient agriculture in Baden-Württemberg with the focus on recycling nutrients from farm fertilizers. The aim is enhancing the efficiency in agriculture through an improved nutrient management in the region Hohenlohe. By building a fully functional plant of the original size, the farm fertilizers can be converted into mineral phosphorous-, nitrogen- and potash fertilizers after an energetic utilization (biogas). These innovative fertilizers are then used specifically for field cultivation. Despite the situation aggravated by the amendment of the fertilizer regulation, farmers involved can thus avoid the construction of new manure storage facilities and at the same time concentrate the nutrients from farm fertilizer in a more targeted an efficient manner. Nutrients from finishing plants may also be sold over longer distances to arable farms with nutrient requirements. In this way, we enable the farmers involved to cultivate arable crops more resource – and area-efficiently than before and to generate additional value locally in the rural area.
