The aim of the experimental field is to digitize the production processes based on the example of selected spatial and field crops using networked sensors and actuators available today. In this context, unmanned airborne systems will be used in order to exploit the advantages of soil-protecting methods. In addition to conventional 5G technology, satellite-based systems are also used as communication channels. All data generated during production is automatically recorded and made available to all authorized users. For this purpose, a suitable data infrastructure will be set up to which all data will be fed.1. the implementation of a communication infrastructure based on geostationary Inmarsat or Iridium satellites 2. the adoption of 'drone-tracking' technology for multi-copters used in viticulture and arable farming to ensure autonomous flight and the security of other air traffic participants 3. crop protection: scientific investigation of the use of new sensors and actuators for demand-oriented, airborne application of fungicides using spraying drones 4. fertilisation: Introduction and scientific investigation of new methods for demand-oriented, sensor-supported airborne nutrient supply taking into account the availability for crops, water supply and water stress as well as the upper limits of the regulation on fertilisation (DüngeVO-Obergrenzen).5. information management: establishment of a direct transfer of sensor data from the machines to a data hub as well as the provision of product information for consumers in a web shop 6. economic analysis of the new processes as well as the analysis of the investment readiness of the users and the consumer interest in information on the production process.
