The project aims to describe the current situation and future development of organic markets in Middle and Eastern European countries and the implications on German organic markets. - Improved transparency of the organic sector in the project regions - Guidance to improved market access for organic produce - Boosting of producers, processors and their organisations in the project regions - Strengthening Germany´s position in organic markets within project regions Added value: a) Improved planning for German stakeholders in organic sector through better knowledge and understanding of current situation and future development in organic food and fodder production and trade b) Competitive advantages for German stakeholders in organic markets in the project regions through improved transarency and information c) Boosting organic trade due to deepened knowledge and understanding of market structures and stakeholders d) Improved network and business relations between German stakeholders with partners in the project regions. e) Better data base for decision making on all levels (e.g. associations, governmental structures, authorities). The project adds to a better market position of German organic businesses and serves growing customer demand, thus positively influences the development of the organic sector in the project regions.
