Purpose of research: Applied research
The VECTORS Project seeks to collate and extend available knowledge on current and potential future pressures and vectors of change, whether they are direct (e.g., invasives in ballast water, climate change, fishery) or indirect (e.g., demographics that increase coastal habitation, tourism, policy).
With a better understanding of potential vectors of change, projections on changes in ecosystems, their functioning and productivity, will be possible. Consequences of changes for economy as well as for society and their governance will be evaluated.
