Collaborative project: Evaluation of anthracnose resistant breeding lines from white lupine aiming at the development of varieties with particular emphasis on agronomical features and technological processing processing performences – Subproject 3
Project
Project code: 2815408610
Contract period: 01.02.2012
- 28.02.2015
Budget: 24,710 Euro
Purpose of research: Experimental development
Evaluation of breeding material of white lupin (Lupinus albus L.) with improved resistance to anthracnose aiming at the development of new varieties with special focus on agronomic traits and technological processing properties The aim of this study was to develop new varieties of white lupin with improved resistance to anthracnose. In three years, 20 breeding lines were evaluated on up to six testing sites. Results confirmed the breeding progress realised in these lines concerning the resistance, which contributes to improved yield and yield stability. White lupins proved to be suitable as a resource for food production in baking tests.
