Optimising of potato production in Organic Farming

Purpose of research: Basic research
In the joint project between Institute of Organic farming of vTI, Bioland Beratung and Marktgenossenschaft der Naturland Bauern, a literature evaluation on organic potato farming will be conducted. On the basis of data collected in two years from 30 test farms with selected varieties, a benchmarking system will be developed, in which the results of the sensory analysis as well as the internal quality parameters are incorporated. From the project results and the knowledge gained from numerous research projects in the past few years recommendations for advisory and practical action as well as for future research needs are drawn.
