Purpose of research: Applied research
Within the project gold catalysts shall be examined under batch and continuous-flow operation which are capable to oxidise the aldoses maltose, lactose and glucose to the corresponding aldonic acids maltobionic acid, lactobionic acid and gluconic acid. Further, a screening for catalysts with unusual selectivity properties shall be carried out in order to further enhance the application fields of the catalytic carbohydrate oxidation by the production of new products.
