Purpose of research: Applied research
In the years 2008-2011 the development of the population of Ixodes ricinus at several places in Germany will be measured. These data will be connected with climate data.
I.r. is one of the most important vectors for tick-borne diseases of animals and humans (TBEV, Lyme Borrelia, Anaplasma, Ehrlichia, Babesia and others).
