Project
Project code: MRI-PBE-08-1010 Lebensstil Erkrankungen
Contract period: 01.07.2013
- 31.12.2021
Purpose of research: Experimental development
Keywords: nutrition, malnutrition, overnutrition, health, metabolites
The incidence of life style associated diseases like overweight, type 2 diabetes, certain cancers and cardiovascular diseases is still growing. Here, over-/malnutrition and physical inactivity play an important role in the pathogenesis. Therefore, it is important to investigate the preventive potential of diet and physical activity. Human intervention studies will be performed to identify risk factors associated with over-/malnutrition and physical inactivity and the underlying mechanisms as well as factors of regulation are being characterized. The preventive potential of diet and physical activity will be assessed and recommendations for a healthy life style will be established.
