Framework programmes are divided into research fields and sub-fields in FISA. These fields of research are then linked to research aims. In this way, it is possible to find out which funding institution (for example, the Federal Ministries, the EU Commission, foundations) contributes to specific research aims through its framework programme (or several framework programmes).
