Section overview
Description
Our campuses are located in southeast Queensland adjacent to the Gold Coast Airport, in New South Wales at Lismore and in Coffs Harbour, where the University’s National Marine Science Centre is also located. Branch campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth operate in collaboration with EduCo and the University operates The Hotel School Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in partnership with Mulpha Australia. We also deliver degrees with collaborators in China and Papua New Guinea.
Knowledge of the interaction between ocean, atmosphere, land, biota and humans is the key to the management of our built and natural systems and to finding solutions to the problems they face.
From regenerative agriculture to marine ecology, our degrees cover every aspect of the management of our natural and built environments. Advanced analytical laboratories and a strong field focus prepare you for a range of careers.
Our environmental science programs are taught by passionate academics and have a focus on developing practical skills. You can obtain your scientific diving licence as part of a marine science degree or learn to use drones and GIS equipment for resource mapping and data collection. Fieldtrips are a feature of all our degrees, with living laboratories at our doorstep – World Heritage rainforests, reefs and rivers are all within easy reach of our campuses.
