Determination of CYP2F-related enzyme activities in human lung tissue
Project
Project code: BfR-CHS-08-1322-289
Contract period: 01.02.2007
- 31.12.2011
Purpose of research: Applied research
CYP2F enzymes are predominantly expressed in lung tissue. CYP2F enzymes are involved in the activation of industrially important chemicals as e.g. styrene. Up to now, CYP2F in human lung has only been detected at the mRNA level, but not at the level of the functionally active protein. The project is aimed at establishing a methodology in order to quantify CYP2F-associated enzyme activity in human lung tissue. With the established methodology, CYP2F related enzyme activities will be quantified in human lung tissue.
