Overall objective of SP2 is to evaluate land management practices according to their impact on the soil water and solute balance and the greenhouse gases emissions.
SP 2 Objectives
Establishment, testing and fine-tuning of advanced lysimeter technology under field conditions in Russia
Deepening the understanding of water, solute and C-fluxes in soils of the Kulunda steppe to identify the interrelationship between the impact of degradation and climate change
Comparative analyses between unconverted and converted grassland into farmland and evaluate the impacts of land use changes at the regional level
Adapting models to display the water and solute budget as a result of land management and climate change
