Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
The modul for assessing the ecological side effects of the energy cropping systems provide answers on teh following questions:
The EVA III project tests numerous arable cropping alternatives at 10 experimental plots in Germany. How to evaluate the tested cropping options based on a set of different environmental indicators?
How does sustainable energy cropping look like? Especially from the perspective of water use efficiency, water conservation (WFD), a high climate protection efficiency and of biodiversity protection targets (Goal oriented optimization of the cropping).
What are the effects of the regional concentration of energy crops on environmental goods (Spatial effects and regional thresholds)?
What are the effcts of new crops, new management elements and system immanent measures (Innovations)?
