Project code: BfR-BIOS-08-1342
Contract period: 01.01.2019 - 31.12.2020
Purpose of research: Basic research

The key objective of this proposal is to systematically integrate top-down epidemiological and bottom-up risk assessment information from diverse modalities to obtain best estimates for attribution, risk factors and health effects as information is collected. Subsequently, this will be used for determining the most effective strategies for controlling transmission and to mitigate risks. More specifically to objective are: - To develop bioinformatics tools to analyse (meta-)genomic data and retrieve information relevant for AMR and its transmission - To produce models regarding AMR development, transmission - To develop machine learning approaches for risk assessment - To fill data gaps by structured expert judgement - To produce a Bayesian evidence synthesis of all available data and information in order to come to consensus estimates on source attribution, risks of exposure and health effects.
