Purpose of research: Applied research
Cucumber is a widespread vegetables with high economic capacity in the ecological agriculture. Great need for research is seen in breeding for organic cultivation. Solid to the seed varieties that are adapted to the conditions of organic farming, have good product properties and a high resistance to pests are missing for the practice. The aim of the project is, several almost purely female greenhouse cucumber for the ecological garden construction with good plant health, to breed a low nutrient requirements and very good taste in good yield values. A focus in the project will be the examination of the varieties/lines on their resistance to diseases. Ultimately to strengthen the organic vegetable farming to contribute with the development of new varieties for organic cultivation.
