Purpose of research: Applied research
The purpose of the project Legumitherm is the development of a strategy to save the regional supply of protein in pigfeeding by technical conditioning (hydrothermical treatment) of a mix of three legumes: faba beans, peas and lupines (33 % each). The treaded legumes will be feeded to piglets to see, how the piglets grow with it.
Another duty of the project is the knowledge-transfer of all projects with the topic of protein supply in pig and chicken feeding.
