Purpose of research: Project preparation activity
In Work package 5 the three interrelated research priority areas Chain management, Quality and Information Management, as well as Risk management and food safety are linked to evaluation and education methods. Wp.5 helps the food industry in the process of adapting itself strongly to demands and needs for quality and crisis management.
In Work package 5 Training, Education and Dissemination Revision lecture materials of the ‘Quality Systems Manager Junior Programme’ (QMJ,) University of Bonn, main mandatory module in the programme according to the EOQ Qualification profile were revised and updated under consideration of the work in the QUARISMA project, laboratory procedures and test were optimized and the HACPP concept was revised. Researchers took part in external audits and in modelling of a structural and organizational concept to build up a national representative unit of EOQ in the Netherlands. A pilot qualification EOQ qualification program at the University of Wageningen was established.
The expected final results are a revision of the QMJ programme at the University of Bonn, internationalisation of the QMJ programme at the UB towards the EOQ QMJ Programme and establishment of an EOQ QMJ Programme at UW. The expected impact is an improved education in the qualification QMJ and better qualification on the international job market. Additional qualification for students in the area of quality management will be possible in Wageningen and in industry courses.
