Purpose of research: Experimental development
The main purpose of AIDA is strengthening the competitiveness of two-staged value-added chains in the meat sector. Therefore technical and organizational innovations will be applied by constructing and structuring of operations of industrywide quality, health and risk management systems within producer associations that are organized co-operatively. Twelve of the leading producer associations from Germany (chiefly SMEs) are working in cooperation with the universities of Bonn and Göttingen on the development of a joint approach for technical and organizational innovations that help expanding the service offered in the coordination of quality and risk management. Enterprises of the pig production chain are receiving support for a better application of industrywide information systems to improve their quality assurance, fault avoiding and cost lowering system and to thereby finally increase their competitiveness. Without a doubt these innovations are capable of improving the service provider spectrum of network integrators or producer associations.
