Description
The focus of the section is the economic valuation of ecosystem services, and the development of policy instruments for their conservation. It entails four specific study areas:
1. The development and implementation of valuation methods for ecosystem services;
2. Incorporating the value of ecosystem service into welfare economic analysis (cost-benefit analysis);
3. The development of policy instruments for protecting natural resources;
4. The integration of ecosystem services in neoclassical utility theory and welfare economics.
