Department of Animal Ecology and Tropical Biology (Zoology III)
Institution
Section overview
Description
Our department is part of the Biocenter at the University of Würzburg and comprises three professorships and about 60 staff members. The involved working groups cover major areas of animal ecology in research and teaching. The main emphasis is on biodiversity research, ecosystem functioning, global change, tropical ecology and evolutionary ecology. Teaching and research takes place at the Campus "Am Hubland", at the Ecological Field Station Fabrikschleichach, and in the field.
