Mass spectrometric analysis of microbiome-dependent metabolite profiles and their influence on diets with a high proportion of phytochemicals (BioNUGUT)
Project
Project code: MRI-MBT-08-925-1040 BioNUGUT
Contract period: 01.02.2019
- 31.08.2020
Purpose of research: Applied research
The aim of the project is to detect metabolic products of intestinal bacteria in the human biofluid, which are associated with a healthy gut microbiota and a healthy diet. The task of the MRI is to incubate (co-cultivate) selected phytochemicals together with the human intestinal microbiota as well as individual defined intestinal bacteria in vitro. These in vitro bioassays are designed to identify bacterial and microbial metabolites at the Institute of Human Nutrition and Food Science, Department of Food Technology, CAU.
