It is a merger of the former ‚Märkische University of Applied Sciences‘ with its campuses in Hagen and Iserlohn and the former campuses of Meschede and Soest of the University of Paderborn. The university has its main campus in Iserlohn and campuses in Hagen, Meschede and Soest.
