Since several years the carrot psyllid (Trioza apicalis) caused severe economic damage in the concerned growing areas in the northern part of Germany. In this project new approaches and strategies for the sustainable control of the carrot psyllid in organic carrot cultivation shall be worked out. Further on missing knowledge on biology and the transmission of the bacteria Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum by the carrot psyllid will be investigated.
