Project
Project code: 2808HS033
Contract period: 16.03.2009
- 30.06.2011
Budget: 130,447 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
The protection of biodiversity, and particularly in agricultural landscapes is often emphasized and explicitly emphasized in the strategy for national diversity. Against this background, this project bases for assessing biodiversity developed by powerful agricultural use systems. In collaboration with the Julius-Kühn- Institute will be processed the ZALF following project areas:. area mapping of bird species on arable land with particular emphasis on indicator species, examination of the reproductive success of bird breeds in arable land using mobile nest observation, detection of bird nests using thermal imaging camera as a basis for a gentle farming means of field surveys, scenario, and GIS analysis and establishment surveys are gained, parameters to management measures for the crop stand, the structure of Avizönosen and the breeding success of important farmland bird species. are analyzed key factors influencing the diversity of species and estimated the following future changes of use in terms of their effect on the biodiversity of agricultural landscapes. The necessary field investigations in the spring periods of 2009/2010 on a total of 26 sample plots on representative conventionally managed arable land and on waste land in East Brandenburg performed. Here, the district maps are used to estimate the potential habitat suitability, while the identification and surveillance of nest sites to determine actual rates of reproduction and successful habitat use should be used.
Based on the project work is expected Scientific. sound, sustainable solutions are formulated with the help of a hand, a positive development of agricultural biodiversity can be ensured and also the profitability of agriculture, Fed. Use systems are not as affected. Recommendations are to be derived.
