Weed control in ecological farm with vegetable culture under special view of modern RTK-control, Ultrasound and camera technique including working labour organization and costs.
Project
Project code: A/15/08
Contract period: 01.02.2015
- 31.01.2019
Budget: 530,000 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
In large agricultural farms, GPS control of the tractors is used for sawing or building up for Asparagus dams. At moment little practical experience is available for weed control using GPS based systems as well as with the camera system. The implementation of this technique should be proved on several crops using different agricultural machines with the aim of coming nearer as possible to the plant rows without causing any damage. The collected experience should provide the basis of suggestions if the RTK technique only is sufficient for weed control, or it needs the help of the ultrasound or the camera system respectively or other combinations are promising.
