Description
The objective of the Horticulture Centre of Excellence (Koga) safeguarding and promoting the efficiency and competitiveness in research and education in horticulture and the development, optimization and deployment of new technologies for use in horticulture. The Horticulture Centre of Excellence acts as an integrative platform for inter-and transdisciplinary work and opens up the potential of the resources contributed by the partners for the horticultural research. Other objects and objectives the identification of priority horticultural scientific problems in the recruitment and support of interdisciplinary working groups for the scientific project work the acquisition of external funding for joint research projects the development of new products and technologies the study, teaching, training and education function the enrichment of teaching and training of undergraduates and graduate students by facilitating the interaction with active interdisciplinary research and project groups support for the external representation of current scientific research, horticulture and public relations activities enabling a rapid transfer of research results in the target groups and bodies.
