Increase of the agronomic importance of yellow lupins (Lupinus luteus) and white lupins (Lupinus albus) for organic farming
Project
Project code: JKI-RS-08-3369
Contract period: 01.04.2011
- 31.01.2014
Purpose of research: Applied research
The project aims at increasing agronomic importance, yield and yield stability of yellow and white lupins. This comprises the increasing of the protein content and lowering of anti-nutritive ingrediences like alkaloids. Besides this selection for high yield will be conducted. In order to get information on yield three years field trials will be carried out. Based on these trials the environmental and genetic variability in the protein- and alkaloid content will be determined. To achieve this an efficient NIR method will be developed.
