Project
Project code: 4314, EW/12/11
Contract period: 01.04.2012
- 30.09.2016
Purpose of research: Applied research
'Comparative analysis of production and utilization of renewable materials show that greenhouse-gas (GHG) savings vary greatly. GHG fluxes are site- and managing-specific, they are subject to tremendous spatial and temporal variability. In addition, GHG balancing of renewable materials has not yet been implemented satisfactorily due to missing standardization of methods. The aim of the project is to reduce GHG emissions by: Analysis and optimization of agricultural and forestry biomass production under the aspects of sustainability and GHG savings for the provision of bioenergy (heat, electricity and mobility), raw materials, food and feed Economical evaluation of GHG optimized process chains at different levels Efficient use of agricultural and forestry resources in Bavaria.
