Institute of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology (IBIS)
Institution
Section overview
Description
Research in the Institute focuses on the systematic functional and structural analysis of proteins, in particular the characterisation of model genomes like those of yeast, Arabidopsis thaliana, and mouse. The main aim is to develop methods for interpreting molecular-biological data and for predicting information that cannot be calculated directly from a sequence using algorithms.
