Agricultural Center Baden-Württemberg cattle, grassland management, dairy farming, fisheries and wildlife (LAZBW)
Institution
Section overview
Description
The LAZBW was established in April 2009 by the merger of education and knowledge center Aulendorf (LVVG) and the Dairy Industry of teaching and research institution cheeks (MLF). So the LAZBW reproduces the entire production chain of milk: From fodder, its preservation up to feeding the cows and the milk production the treatment and processing of milk, including the quality assurance of dairy products now is under one roof. The mapping of the entire production chain to the food establishment in a country represents a novelty and is unique in Baden-Wuerttemberg. This marks an important step towards securing a sustainable future is achieved. Particularly important are the benefits of LAZBW in apprenticeship education and training area for practical agriculture and the dairy industry (inter-company training programs, workshops, etc.). Add to that the known tasks in applied experimental research in the fields of cattle, pasture and fodder crops, including the food preservation as well as in the dairy industry.
