Description
The Danish Forest and Landscape Research Institute (DFLRI) is a sector research institute under the Ministry of Environment and Energy. The objective of the DFLRI is to generate and disseminate knowledge on forests, landscapes and planning.
DFLRI carries out research and development, and transfers the research results to the sectors related to forestry, landscape, and planning. DFLRI performs research, development, and extension within the following main fields:
Forestry
Forest ecology
Christmas trees and greenery
Parks and landscape
Physical planning
Outdoor recreation and tourism
The results are directed towards a practical application in the above mentioned sectors where they are to create a basis for a sustainable and multiple-use management.
