The project aims to estimate the overall health impact of replacing red meat with a novel food. In particular, the proposed project aims to perform a risk-benefit assessment and to design strategies to communicate results related to the evaluation of the impact of replacing dietary red meat with a novel food, taking edible insects as a case-study. The process will be followed by BfR who will elaborate on a strategy on how to communicate results to the public, risk managers, competent authorities of the EU Member States and to the industry.
