Collaborative project: Usage of the efficacy and the effective period of fungicides in online decision support systems - subproject 1
Project
Project code: 2815410610
Contract period: 01.10.2011
- 30.11.2014
Budget: 292,205 Euro
Purpose of research: Experimental development
1 Objective: The internet portal of the German Federal Advisory Services 'www.isip.de” offers decision support systems for the agricultural practice. With the current project the system is to be supplemented by a module for the selection of proper plant protection products that simulates their efficacy and the effective period. First, the user gets a regionally differing selection of control measurements in tables that can be sorted and filtered. After selecting one treatment, the user then gets (a) the result of a simulation model of the specific disease and (b) the potential effective period of the measure. The effective period is simulated dynamically dependent on weather conditions and plant development. This system provides the farmer all necessary information to a carry a treatment out as resource efficient and environmentally sparing as possible. 2 working plan: The data of the Governmental Crop Protection services to the efficacy of fungicides will be collected, structured and joined together in a database. A module which simulates the duration of effect of the applied plant protection products considering weather conditions and plant development is developed. Thereby a generic approach is chosen which enables easy care and enhancement of the module. The new module is then integrated in the ISIP infrastructure and the existing decision support systems.
