Collaborative project: carbon fertilizer from phosphorus-rich manure by carbonization with nitrogen recovery. Subproject 4 (Karbonduenger)
Project
Project code: 2818105315
Contract period: 15.08.2017
- 14.10.2020
Budget: 356,679 Euro
Purpose of research: Experimental development
A fundamental problem of the modern agriculture is that manure incurred locally concentrated where their utilization is inefficient and phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N) may even be harmful to the environment. The aim of the proposed project is, therefore, to transform the manure in nutrient-dense N-P-fertilizer, being worthy for transportation into regions of nutrient demand. Techniques, such as separation and carbonization, will be linked together in a new way in order to eliminate the problem of regional nutrient surpluses and to enable the efficient use of phosphorus, nitrogen and carbon in regions of less intense animal production.
