The common goal of the associations DBV and BÖLW together with the Thünen Institute is to establish an operating network for the implementation and demonstration of measures to maintain and sequester humus within the framework of the MuD initiated and funded by BMEL. The participating farms should try out measures that go beyond the usual practices and make a contribution to climate mitigation. Furthermore, the network should be used to inspire agricultural entrepreneurs for the topic of humus sequestration by exchanging information on the effectiveness of the measures and possible adaptation options in the network. The knowledge gained in the network should be disseminated in agricultural practice and the broader public. For this it is necessary to scientifically evaluate the ecological as well as economic effectiveness of the measures. In order to achieve the overall goals of the project, close coordination and cooperation between the project partners and a description of the interfaces are required.
