The overall objective of 'QC_RegioBio' is to strengthen rural areas in Germany and the socio-ecological transformation of the German agricultural and food sector. Competent and effective organic value chain managers at economic operators, governmental bodies and non-governmental organizations are to contribute to this. Within the framework of the project, the competence requirements for these specialists are to be described and an in-service qualification and coaching program is to be designed and tested, which does not exist in this form. For the successful development of regional organic value chains, qualified personnel are needed who can act along the value chains with all actors, network at eye level, accompany processes and bring people together with skill and empathy. At present, hardly any degree programs, courses or training programs prepare for these complex tasks. This gap is to be closed with a nationwide, in-service qualification and coaching program for regional organic value chain management.
