Production processes

Project code: 2808HS040
Contract period: 15.11.2009 - 31.12.2012
Budget: 324,567 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research

The aim of this research project is to provide conventional and novel methods of stable climate to compare practice with regard to their effect on energy efficiency, emission events, animal welfare and economic efficiency. The results of this survey will help to broaden the basis for decision making for farmers, consultants, government and regulatory authorities at national level. Particular attention should be paid to the method of underfloor air supply, which uses a heat exchanger area in the concrete base for temperature compensation. This technique is founded to investigate and evaluate. In addition to these process technology in a comparison of other process engineering (geothermal heat exchanger, cooler surface water-based, top-floor air supply with and without high pressure humidification) are compared. The investigations are carried out on pig barns.
