Project code: 2804UM005I
Contract period: 25.08.2004 - 31.12.2007
Budget: 4,331 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research

As part of the R & D project is a technical procedure to be introduced into practice, which is likely to reduce the risk of mycotoxin contamination in wheat after the previous crop maize. The core of the project is a combine harvester, equipped in comparison with conventional harvesting machines in addition to flail mulchers. In this way is crushed during harvest the entire corn stover. The proposed three-year trial of o.g. technical solution supports the introduction of soil-saving techniques into practice, because the system requires more of the surface residues remaining after the crushing rot. Over three growing periods, the effect of the new device to the Fusarium and mycotoxin contamination in the succeeding crop of wheat investigated and documented.
