Purpose of research: Applied research

'In Europe, have been among the established formerly covered by the public interest benefits of the telecommunications, energy and transport systems through the implementation of European Directives competitive markets. While market liberalization in the telecommunications sector is already well advanced, there are the markets for energy and transport still in a restructuring process, in the Member States vary far advanced and pronounced differently. For the consumers resulting from this lack of transparency often in terms of volume and prices of services. Lack of transparency hinders free competition, since consumers do not use the width of the offer and may increase the risk of abuse by providers. The aim of the project is an analysis and evaluation of the different approaches used in other EU Member States to protect the customer performed on these markets. The study is an analysis of the situation in Germany prefix. The reports of the comparison countries are also based on the structure developed here. The following questions are for the study countries France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Sweden and Hungary to study scientifically: First What shortcomings currently exist in Germany and what action is needed from the perspective of economic consumer protection? Second What measures to ensure greater transparency and abuse against the facts have been taken? Third What are the sanctions of civil law or public in nature have been created? 4th What are the national supervisory authorities, acting on its own? 5th Which individual or collective claims for damages have been created? 6th What is the role of government and private consumer organizations in consumer protection in liberalized markets? 7th What are investigated in the countries of the solutions adopted are transferable to Germany? 8th The results of the three project components are in the final report together and to assess in view of the situation in Germany. '
