Purpose of research: Applied research
Within this project a comprehensive and transdisciplinary approach is applied to address ethical, legal and socio economic aspects of genome editing for crop plants.The aim of the subproject 3 'Socio-economic aspects of genome editing in plants and livestock' conducted by JKI-SF, is to assess the positive (benefits) and negative (costs) effects of genome editing on socio-economy across the entire agricultural process chain (breeder, farmer, trade, consumers) and the society as a whole.
