Functional and molecular biological characterization of the lysogeny module of temperent phages of lactic bacteria
Project
Project code: MRI-MBT-08-75
Contract period: 01.06.2012
- 31.05.2016
Purpose of research: Experimental development
Genes of the lysogeny module of temperent phages contribute via 'lysogenic conversion', 'superinfection immunity' and 'superinfection exclusion', respectively, to the phage resistance of the host. Through functional and molecular biological analyses, the genes contributing to these mechanisms shall be identified and the modes of action of the gene products shall be elucidated.
