Collaborative project: Development of an efficient, low-loss fertilization system for phosphates in cereals and oilseed rape on dignified soil under conditions of minimal tillage. Subproject 1 (Phosphat-Effizienz)
Project
Project code: 2818100815
Contract period: 19.08.2016
- 31.12.2019
Budget: 74,527 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
"The aim of the project was the establishment of a low-loss, efficient system of phosphate fertilization for dignifies soils with minimal tillage while reducing environmental pollution. In a three-year field trial at the International DLG Crop Production Center in cooperation with Horsch Maschinen GmbH different variants of fertilizer placement and quantities in rapeseed and winter wheat were compared. In the years 2017-2019 yield and quality as well as the population dynamics for winter rape and winter wheat were examined. The following main statements can be considered for the examined location: 1. A dose with fresh nutrients leads to positive yield effects. 2. A reduced amount of fertilizer after ""removal"" achieves similar results as fertilization according to the ""guide value"". 3. A deep deposit of the fertilizer can minimize the risk of discharge through erosion. The findings are communicated through publications, presentations at trade fairs and conferences and through DLG specialist committees."
