Collaborative project: Development of a resource-optimized seeding technology with sensor-based 3D seed and fertiliser placement - 3D sowing - subproject 1 (3D-Saat)
Project
Project code: 28RF5044
Contract period: 14.06.2018
- 31.05.2021
Budget: 478,678 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
The aim of the project is the development of an all new precision seeding technology, which deposits seeds in the soil in all three dimensions based on a soil moisture-dependent regulation. In addition to these technical developments, three-year plant-cultivation experiments will provide scientifically sound information on the positive effects of soil-moisture-dependent single-seed deposition on plant development and demonstrate the benefits of the system for the environment and for customers. 1. Concept phase: Definition of concepts for sensor and its integration in the precision seeder 2. development phase: Development of hardware and software as well as components for integration in the seeder 3. Accompanying test and optimization phase: three-year field trials on plant development and yield, laboratory tests for functional verification and accuracy optimization of depth control.
