Process development for cost-effective and selective production of gibberellins for yield enhancement in energy crops
Project
Project code: JKI-PB-08-1108
Contract period: 01.04.2009
- 30.09.2012
Purpose of research: Applied research
Main aims of this research project are the advancement of length and mass increase of energy crops like maize and wheat (kernel and oil yield) as well as the improvement of germination of seeds from interesting energy and industry crops and the suppression of pathogens (fungal diseases caused by Fusarium species, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Botrytis cinerea, Phoma spp.). Additionally it will be investigated if special isolated gibberellins influence the starch/protein-proportion in wheat as well as the starch/oil-proportion in maize positively in terms of an energetical and/or material use.
