Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
In the context of market opening procedures for plants and plant products in accordance with the export efforts of the German economy, pest risk analyzes are professionally assessed at the request of the respective target countries and the BMEL is given technical support in negotiating import requirements. In some cases, during or after the negotiation of import requirements, visits are carried out by expert groups from the respective target countries, which are also professionally supported. In addition, the plant protection services of the federal states are advised on the implementation of the negotiated import requirements.
